Pleasant Conversation I Had with a Lawyer

Well played!
I need to learn how to do this and skip all the negotiating.
I think a lot of it had to do with the circumstances. The client was in a place where time was more important than money. And, let's face it, I am cheap.
I do listen to the Negotiating Tip of the Day podcast, though, and it helped me with the confrontation. I am passive-aggressive and non-confrontational by nature. The fact that I called the lawyer back instead of ignoring him and hoping that he would just go away is proof that I now have mad confrontation skillz.
right, good luck remembering those 'mad confrontation skillz' the next time you do something mrs mrt has told you time and again not to do.
;)
Next time I have to deal with the man, I'm calling you.
Churlita, I am typically the one who deals with the man. I do live with him, after all.
And Heather, oui, the mad confrontation skillz are a work in progress. It's fun to watch. :)
