Kids Are Stupid!

Every once in awhile, I get an email forwarded to me with the subject line "Such and such... from a child's point of view."

It is really difficult to imitate a child's perspective because 1) the people who traffic in these types of emails tend to be overly sentimental and have an overly sentimental view of childhood, and 2) kids are stupid.

Children are barely literate, so making "cute little misunderstandings that reveal deeper truths" hardly seems like something a second grade class would traffic in.

However, political commentary seems to work very well when placed in the hands of 7 to 10 year olds. Because so many barely literate people have already paved the way, filling everything with nonsense, true nonsense sounds par for the course.

Five children were asked to write a speech for President Bush to recite. And then a President Bush impersonator read these speeches.

The result? Judge for yourself.
